Glacier Bay National Park

Cruising Day

sunny 14 °C

Early to rise because the sun was up! Beauty, beauty, beauty day for Glacier Bay National Park. Could not ask for better weather day for today's excursion which we don't need to disembark from the ship - all the adventure will be around us from every angle - beautiful snow capped mountains, an abundance of wildlife and spectacular glaciers! The Travel Gods were definitely on our side today as this area typical gets over 200 days of rain and cloud cover for 90% of the time. Bring on the sun!

Absolutely stunning! Even the crew were taking a peak and snapping a few photos. This spot is a National Park so a couple of Park Rangers embarked the ship to provide live narration throughout the day. It was great getting information on our surroundings and helping with wildlife sightings...we saw mountain goats, brown bears, sea otters and humpback whales. Breathtaking views all day long! Pictures do not give it justice.

Tonight was the Orange Party - dress in orange to pay homage to the Dutch heritage. There were even Dutch inspired dishes on the menu. Great day was capped off with listening to some live music in the Ocean Bar.

What an incredible day! Glacier Bay National Park truly looks like a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and it sounds like you couldn't have asked for better weather. Seeing glaciers, snow-capped mountains, humpback whales, bears, sea otters, and mountain goats all in one day is amazing. Having the Park Rangers onboard to provide live narration must have made the experience even more special. And ending the day with the Orange Party, Dutch-inspired cuisine, and live music sounds like the perfect way to cap off an unforgettable adventure. Thanks for sharing your journey!
